Menopausal Monday … #38

#selfdiscovery #simpleistheway

Proud of my daughter, who has been going through all anxiety issues like a pro. At least some days…

Been browsing for more satisfying jobs, and mind you, I didn’t even mentioned better paid. At this moment in time I am not looking to progress in my career, I don’t think I can be bothered (or want to) get into a fight with AI, or to be continuously judged for skills I know I have by people that don’t know as much as I do, which is most of the time. Sadly, by our age, we are not even considered for career progression…

Getting fed up of the corporate world and the hypocrisy attached to it. I’m looking for peace of mind. In reality, I’d retire today, if I could. Or would go part-time, doing a job that is more personally than materially rewarding. One where I’m in contact with REAL people, people that don’t feel the need to perform, that are friendly, engaging.

If we earned enough not too worry about money, what would we be doing? With the busy lives we lead to make ends meet we don’t get time for joy or pleasure. And when we do get time, we feel guilty. As if we weren’t given permission to feel happy.

I have been so harsh on myself all my life that now (with a steady job) I am just looking for satisfying things to do. I am done with society expectations.
