AFCastro Translations needed some TLC. It belongs to a colleague and dear friend. There had been a few years since someone had touched it and she has never really promoted it as it wasn’t really updating hence showing appropriate information. It has been that long that all of the hosting machinery is still very mechanical. 

So took some unused, business-irrelevant our out-of-date pages out, updated the contact details, refreshed the home page and added an “About Me” page. It took us in total (intermittently, as these projects rely 100% on teamwork) about 3 days to get the whole work done over the course of a week. A lot of hard work as a lot of tweaking is required to fit the vision of the business owner and the image they want to pass across. I class it as my first victory.

Then, the first website that I have done for someone else from scratch. It was a little bit of a challenge because there aren’t many private childcare websites to refer to. Most of the childcare providers that bother with a web presence are Nurseries and bigger businesses. So far, most private businesses didn’t think setting up a webpage would be worth their time and may don’t even know how. And that’s where my services come in. To allow “toddler” businesses the opportunity to play in the same playground as the “big boys”.
