Communicating doesn’t always come easy. Understanding how to do it well is a rare gift, as it requires a good understanding of the social dynamic.
The social dynamic is the most important premise of communication. It’s a necessary life skill to have a good idea of how people behave with one another and the way they react to each other.
There should be an introduction to Social Dynamics from our very early school years. We are social beings and on that depends a good part of our survival.
And if we hold enough knowledge of that dynamic, it becomes easier to recognise patterns. And this way to forecast others people’s behaviour.

Writing is also not an innate ability for everyone. Not only it needs a good level of grammar and syntax, but also of logic and coherence. Yet, only a passion for the word closes this crafty circle.
Time is the final binding element. It is necessary to work out the best techniques to bring it all together in an optimal way. We need time to:
- to brainstorm and gather information on the Client’s vision, target audience and message
- to translate all that into intelligible content
- to organize it into coherent sections
- to review and make any necessary changes

As social creatures, it’s in our nature to react. We react by ignoring, rejecting, accepting or just criticizing. Either way, we are effectively reacting.
You can test this yourself with a minimum of three email sequences. Imagine what the reader (customer) is thinking, imagine how his/her journey with you is likely to be.
Then take some time to prepare each email and to think how busy the customer’s lives are and the frequency you’ll try sending them out on your first attempt.
Then, according to the reactions you had, you make little adjustments – in the headlines, in the content or in the frequency – and try again.
Eventually, you’ll find the right recipe that is having more conversions and brings in more sales. You can try it as a Newsletter or more simply as email nurturing.
This is an exercise every business owner/manager should go through. It offers priceless insights to how the customer sees you and what they expect from you.
